About Our DaySchool

What is doggy day school?
Doggy Day School is structured learning for puppies. Instead of just playtime, your dog spends the day practicing real-life skills like manners, impulse control, leash walking, and obedience through guided group and 1-1 training built into daily activities.

Do you offer pickup or drop off?

Yes! Pickup and Dropoff are included in dayschool on Jacksonville's first dog bus. Pick-up time range is from 6:00am-9:00am and our drop-off time range is 5:00-8:00pm. While we don't offer scheduled times, you can expect us to arrive within the listed time window.

What if I'm not home for pickup/dropoff?

Canine Collegiate provides a lockbox with every sign up so that we can provide stress-free and easy bus rides. If you're not home we will utilize the lockbox to access your home and pup, and lock-up on our way out.

How is day school different from standard doggy daycare?

We are not a daycare, and function more like a private school for puppies. Our small group (max 10 dogs) is supervised by AKC evaluator trainers who are certified to guide training and socialization in an all day school environment. Dogs get structured lessons, exercise, and safe social interaction play in a specialized environment.

What if my dog doesn't fit in, or is disruptive?

We offer a Prep Course is a program recommended to pups who are struggling to fit in; be it behavioral struggles, or a lack in manners in group- our Prep course is an intensive training in day school: Monday through Friday for two full weeks. This Prep Course costs $750.00 and includes structured socialization and guided introductions to help your dog to be a safe, responsive, grade-A student. Prep courses are our way of ensuring all of our puppies and dogs in day school are safe, comfortable, and can positively experience canine socialization.
